QC begins deployment of electronic service kiosks – Manila Bulletin

The Quezon City government on Wednesday launched the rollout of electronic service kiosks to make its services more accessible and convenient for city residents.
Electronic service kiosks can be used to request services under One Stop Shop for Business, by registering for QCitizen ID, QC Vax Easy, Work Permit, Sanitary and Sanitary Permit, Pangkabuhayang QC and Kalingang QC (for businesses), paying for Taxe foncière, and for people with disabilities ID Office and Office of Senior Citizens Affairs ID.
The kiosk will be placed in city district action offices, business centers in shopping malls and in barangays.
Mayor Joy Belmonte, together with Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) General Manager Atty Jeremiah Belgica and QC Business Permits and Licensing Department Head Margarita Santos, led the launch of the QC E- kiosk. Services as one of the implementation initiatives of the Ease Act of 2018 on the Conduct of Business and the Efficient Delivery of Government Services.
“Here in Quezon City, we want to bring our services closer to the people so they don’t have to come to town hall to do their transactions, they can just do them online or through our kiosks. We value their business and their time, ”said Mayor Belmonte.
Meanwhile, ARTA’s Belgica praised the innovation of the city government by bringing its services and projects closer to the population.
“Starting in 2019, we learned in QC about the ease of doing business, and started in Quezon City within a short period of time. Quezon City is truly a benchmark and a standard for how the country is doing in terms of the ease of doing business, ”Belgica said.
