Housing Minister Engineer Bassem bin Yaqoub Al Hamer announced the launch of five new electronic services as part of the first phase of the electronic transformation plan.

New services on the national portal bahrain.bh website include providing housing application, investigating housing applications, contacting, updating bank account information and submitting the application. .

The inauguration, which took place virtually, took place in the presence of Muhammad Ali Al-Qaed, CEO of the Information and Administration Authority (iGA), Sheikh Khalid bin Hammoud Al Khalifa , Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Housing, Dr Zakaria Ahmed Al Khajah, Executive Vice President President for e-transformation at the Authority, and Dr Khaled Al Haidan, Deputy Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Housing On this occasion, the Minister Al Hamer asserted that the launch of these services is part of the commitment to fulfill the aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa which emphasizes the importance of achieving digital transformation and using technologies modern in various fields to improve all services and systems offered to citizens.

It also came in application of the decisions issued by the Council of Ministers concerning the importance of working to quickly activate the digital transformation plans of government agencies, and of working to accelerate the pace of transformation of the services provided by these bodies to citizens and residents.

The minister added that electronic housing services are also part of the unified framework of government programs in its second updated version, concerning the development of electronic services to facilitate procedures for customers, indicating that the main thrusts of the plan Digital transformation of the Ministry of Housing is expected to be completed by the middle of this year.

It plans to add some electronic services such as the right to dispose of the electronic contract and others, provided that the ministry subsequently begins to develop a plan for the application of artificial intelligence in electronic services.

Ing. Al Hamer also expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to the iGA for the efforts made to achieve the digital transformation of the services of the ministry, highlighting the continuation of this cooperation and coordination, which aims to complete the stages of launching all the services. electronic housing.

The Minister stressed that the launch of this set of services aims to facilitate the procedures for providing the services of the Ministry of Housing through electronic channels accessible to citizens, in particular in view of the large volume of transactions that it processes annually, which takes place. amounts to approximately 45,000 transactions, which will be processed electronically.
