Makati Expands Electronic Market; offers free shipping

MANILA – Residents no longer need to go out to buy goods as the Makati City Government has expanded its online store by offering free delivery services in the city.
The city government has set up a platform called “Maka-Tindahan (an online market)” which allows residents to buy basic necessities online to prevent local transmission of the coronavirus disease ( Covid-19).
“Kung mai kailangang bilhin, pumasyal sa Maka-Tindahan. Mabibili rito in all directions araw-araw na pangangailangan na walang pangambang mahawa (If you need something to buy, just visit Maka-Tindahan. Various daily essentials can be purchased here without worrying about getting infected), ”the city government said in a notice on Saturday.
Maka-Tindahan, an app-based store, is where consumers can buy fresh produce and produce directly from the market.
Meanwhile, people outside of Makati can also transact with the online store, but they have to pay a delivery fee of PHP 200.
Customers could pay for their orders through a cash on delivery service or through Gcash.
The Maka-Tindahan app can be downloaded from Google Play and App Store. People can also visit makatindahan.com to purchase groceries.
“Enjoy the hassle-free market and grocery shopping in Maka-Tindahan online store,” the notice reads.
Meanwhile, the city government has reminded residents to follow Executive Order No. 20 or guidelines during the modified enhanced community quarantine.
Local guidelines include limited movement of people, mandatory wearing of face masks, a strict curfew ordinance, strict adherence to quarantine measures by commercial and commercial establishments, and limited operation of public service vehicles. (ANP)
