Plan of life and chapels of Saint-Pierre launched its eStore for people who want to plan their memorial in advance.

“We realized early on that we had to adapt to a world that was going digital,” said Victor Jose R. Tancinco, president and CEO of St. Peter Life Plan, Inc., noting that even US retailer Walmart sells coffins online. “We were aware of the threat of the retail apocalypse, and we didn’t want to land on the business list [that got waylaid] Therefore.”

The death care service company, which launched eBurol (online wake-up viewing) and eLibing (online burial viewing), worked on its eStore before the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic .

Launching on November 29, it’s designed to provide a seamless experience, with “Add to Cart” and “Buy Now” prompts that are familiar to consumers of online platforms.

The online store offers both traditional and cremation plans, which are transferable, assignable and can be paid for in installments for up to five years. The first ranges from P47,400 to P120,000; the latter from P66,000 to P99,000. A 10% discount is offered for cash payments. Patricia B. Mirasol
